HIAS

Hias, meaning decorative in Malay, is a table that embodies the rich Peranakan history and architectural style of Katong. With its ornate legs, steel cabinet body and planks from a slatted base, the table is a representation of Katong's inherent clashing visual styles while simultaneously celebrating the concept of upcycling through its raw and industrial finish.

Hias was the result of a two member group initiative.
